IDNEWS.CO.ID – Komitmen Bupati Kaimana Freddy Thie untuk mewujudkan Kaimana maju, adil dan sejahtera bukanlah isapan jempol semata. Berbagai langkah dan cara ia lakukan salah satunya adalah mendorong budidaya ikan di Kaimana.
Tak tanggung-tanggung pria berdarah Tionghoa ini pun rela untuk berkeliling di Jawa Timur (Jatim) untuk melihat secara langsung proses dan cara kerja dari beberapa lokasi budidaya ternama diantaranya Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau (BPAP) yang terletak di Kabupaten Situbondo dan Kampung Lobster Dive Club di Kabupaten Banyuwangi pada Selasa (13/09/2022).
“Hari ini saya lakukan kunjungan ke 2 lokasi budidaya, perjalanan dari surabaya kesini kurang lebih 4-5 jam. Awalnya kami kunjungan ke BPAP Situbondo dan saat ini sudah di Kampung Lobster Banyuwangi”, kata Freddy.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, ia mengaku bahwa sejak awal niatnya sebagai Kepala Daerah semata demi kepentingan masyarakat Kaimana.
“Sejak awal saya sudah bilang kalau semua ini untuk rakyat Kaimana, jadi kalau sekarang saya keliling sudah pasti buat rakyat. Saya rela waktu saya terbuang untuk kepentingan rakyat. Dan itu bukan cuman janji”, tanda Bupati Kaimana ini.
Lebih lanjut, orang nomor satu Kaimana ini menjelaskan bahwa tujuan dari kunjungannya untuk mendapatkan penjelasan dari tempat budidaya ikan.
“Saya datang ini untuk diskusi soal budidaya ikan, siapatau kita bisa terapkan di Kaimana. Apalagi jenis ikan air di Kaimana juga ada baik itu sunu atau kerapu merah, udang banana, lobster dan lain-lain”, lanjutnya.
Bupati Kaimana ini juga menjelaskan bahwa potensi-potensi yang ada di daerahnya ini bisa dikelola jadi potensi unggul jika ada kemauan dan kerjasama.
“Saya pikir kita punya banyak potensi, ini semua bisa dikelola kalau kita serius untuk kerja dan bangun kolaborasi. Tadi saya sudah bicara untuk minta bantuan peningkatan kapasitas untuk masyarakat Kaimana. Dan Puji Tuhan mereka siap bantu”, ujar Kaibus sapaan akrabnya. (ndi)
